This post seems juvenile especially since back in the Xanga days (did anyone else have a Xanga!?) basically all I posted was wish lists. Maybe someday years from now I’ll look back on this and laugh at what I wanted just like I do at my old Xanga posts now. With that being said, I’ve seen quite a few birthday wish list posts (there’s a ton of August babies out there) lately and I enjoy seeing what people are wishing for on their birthdays! My birthday is coming up next week so I figured I’d share with you all some things I’ve been eyeing lately. For my friends and family out there reading this, no pressure. ;) I’m only kidding, guys. But really, if you needed ideas…

MEET MOLLY KATE
Hello everyone! I’d like to start off by thanking Miss Christine for featuring me this week…I’m very excited to be sharing my passion with you guys! My name is Molly Kate, and I’m a senior graphic design student at Texas Christian University. For those of you who might be wondering what exactly a graphic designer does, well, that changes dramatically from person to person. We’re commercial artists, packaging designers, illustrators, creative directors, website designers, ad men (or women!), branding specialists, typography lovers…it’s a pretty broad field. As for me, I decided I didn’t really want to choose a specific title: I’ll just stick with designer, and let everyone else decide what I am for themselves.
I probably get more excited over animals than anything else in life. Animal videos are a killer, show me a funny one and I’m down for the count. With that being said, the Virginia Safari Park has been on my travel list for a long time now, I put it on my summer bucket list, and Cameron and I finally went this past Tuesday! The park is a 180 acre drive-through zoo with over 1,000 animals from 6 different continents. I loaded up my camera and we headed for the mountains. The drive to Natural Bridge, Virginia was beautiful. It was an easy two hour drive and we even took a few stops at little overlooks on the side of the road to admire the mountains. Continue after the jump to see our little safari adventure and prepare for photo overload.
